Smt.Dr.Subashree Narayanan

Smt.Dr.Subashree Narayanan - Nattuvangam

The Guru Smt.Dr.Subashree Narayanan is an ‘Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition’ & mother of two. Subashree has won many Laurels & Accolades in Nritta & Abhinaya. Seeing her potential in Abhinayam, her Dance Gurus Shri. GV Ramani & Smt. Ranganayaki Ramani referred her to Padmabhushan Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan (Virtuoso of Abhinayam) to study the art form further. Subashree has given several performances both in India & US. She has also conducted her Arangetrams, in India, and in the US. She is currently enhancing her domain in Bharathnatyam under the tutelage of Guru. B. Bhanumati, Bengaluru & Smt Sheela Chandrashekar, Bengaluru.
In conjunction with her dance career, Subashree’s parents enrolled her in Carnatic music under Sangeetha Vidhwan Shri. A.S. Panchapakesha Iyer (Author of Gaanamrutha Bodhini – Foundation of Carnatic Music). She went on to complete her Diploma in Carnatic music at the young age of 14. Later, she went on for advanced Vocal Training under the guidance of Guru Smt. T.R. Balamani (Also guru of Shankar Mahadevan, Bombay Jayashree, her batchmates).
Subashree is a core member of ‘Rasajhari’, which has conducted a variety of dance recitals over the years and continues to promote the artforms. Now after a hard and long journey from being a student to a teacher today, Subashree has successfully opened a school under the name “KalarAdhana – School of Arts”.

Tejaswini Rao

Tejaswini Rao – Lead Vocalist

Tejaswini Rao is an MS from Syracuse University NY, Software Engineer by profession. An All-India Radio graded artiste, she has performed in India and US in various Sangeeth Sabhas and was involved with SPIC MACAY as a grad student at Syracuse University NY.
She learnt under Gurus - Shri Malladi Suribabu, Smt Saroja, Shri R Vasudevan and was mentored by Shri HS Sudhindra. Tejaswini completed her Senior Grade Carnatic Music examination in Carnatic music (vocal) in 2003, stood second in Karnataka state.
Performed at concerts organized by various sabhas in India including Bangalore, Bellary, Goa, AP etc. Performed at Brahmotsavam, Thyagaraja and Purandara Dasa Aradhana at Dallas Fort-Worth Hindu temple at Dallas, TX and SPIC MACAY events in Syracuse University and SPIC MACAY Cornell University, NY. Performed at "Hampi Utsav" as part of Venkatappa school of music, Bellary. Rendered classical and semi-classical concerts in various organizations, temples and Rotary Club and Nightingales franchises in India.
Board member and Officer of SPIC MACAY at Syracuse University from 2014-2016. She is actively learning and teaching currently.

Santosh Chandru

Santosh Chandru - Mridangam

One of the foremost disciples of Guru Sri T. S. Nandakumar, Santosh has been playing the Mridangam since the age of 11. He has been accompanying various leading artists in the fields of both dance and music. He is a graded All India Radio artist and is equally proficient with the Ghatam and the Thavil. Santosh has been a part of numerous Thaala Vaadya Katcheris (percussion ensembles) along with his Guru, including performances at the prestigious Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana festival. He is a regular accompaniment for Padma Vibhushan Dr. K. J. Yesudas during his classical concerts in the United States. He has accompanied various other prominent artists such as A. Kanyakumari, Guitar Prasanna, TNS Krishna, Mahanadhi Shobana, Sankaran Namboothiri, Charulatha Mani, Flute G. S. Rajan, Flute V. K. Raman to name a few.
Santosh has been teaching Mridangam for few years now in Atlanta. Several of his students have started to accompany full-fledged concerts.

Smrithi Sankar Krishnan

Smrithi Sankar Krishnan – Vocal Assistance

Smrithi Sankar Krishnan, from Jacksonville, FL, is a Freshman at USF, Tampa. She continues learning Bharatanatyam under Smt. Deepthi Radhakrishna (Bengaluru, India), who is the disciple of Guru B. Bhanumati and Guru Smt. Sheela Chandrashekar (Nritya Kala Mandiram, Bengaluru, India). She is also learning Carnatic Music from Smt. Sandhya Rao, Bellary, Karnataka, India and is also mentored by Smt. Tejaswini Rao, Tampa, FL.
Apart from these graceful artforms, Smrithi is a 2nd degree Recommended Black Belt in Taekwondo. She is currently an active member in our local community theatre group at “Theatre for Jacksonville”. Smrithi also volunteers with children with special needs in her free time, she is a leading committee member of the youth wing & coordinator for Mother’s Cry Inc (NPO - Mental Disability) and has received several accolades in French and singing Movie songs with the help of professional Tollywood singers.

Sanjana Chandran

Sanjana Chandran – Violin

Sanjana has been learning Indian Classical Music (both Carnatic and Hindustani styles) on the violin from her father, Mr. Sanjay Chandran for over 12 years.
She has secured top honors at several leading music competitions organized by the Cleveland Aradhana, Carnatic Music Association of North America (CMANA) etc. She is also the recipient of the Indian Raga Fellowship. She is also an avid composer and has composed original music blending different genres of world music such as Indian Classical, Jazz, Pop, Celtic, African and Latin music.
Sanjana has given full-fledged concerts in many venues across North America. Last year, she was selected to perform an online concert for the prestigious Mani Krishnaswamy Academy in India. In addition, she has conducted workshops on Indian Classical Music in several public schools and universities in South Florida and Iowa.
She graduated from FAU High School this Spring and will be receiving her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Behavior at FAU this summer.

Agastya Sridharan

Agastya Sridharan – Flute

Agastya Sridharan is currently the disciple of Smt Shantala Subramanyam and Sangeetha Seva Ratna Dr. C.M. Venkatachalam. He also had the privilege of learning the Carnatic flute with Shri Radhakrishnan Ramachandran. He has won awards in the prestigious Cleveland Aradhana for flute and vocal categories and was the winner of Carnatic Idol 2014 in the 'Melody Instruments' category. He was awarded the "Young Artist Award" at the Carlsbad Purandara Dasa Aradhana 2017. He is a 2017 & 2018 Fellow of Indian Raga.
Agastya is a rising sophomore. He was among the Top 30 Broadcom Masters 2020 and is the 2021 National Champion in Lincoln Douglas debate.

Krishnamoorthi Seetharaman

Krishnamoorthi Seetharaman - Morsing

Krish Seetharaman was introduced to Carnatic music by his father who taught him to identify Ragas when Krish was 8 or 9 years old. He started learning Hindustani Music on Violin when he was in 12th Grade. His first Guru was Mr. Vadasamudrikar and then he continued to learn from Mr. Pillai in Nagpur. He has played twice in youth program “Yuva Vaani” in All India Radio Nagpur. He has also participated in many music programs in college, both in Hindustani music and Hindi Movie songs.
Later when he moved to Bangalore, he learnt Carnatic Music on Violin under tutelage of Lalgudi Smt Rajalakshmi (sister of Lalgudi Sri Jeyaraman) for three years. With regular practice he advanced to the level of playing Kirthanas.
In addition to Violin, he taught himself to play Harmonium, “Bul-bul tharang” and Electronic Keyboard and dabbles on “Morsing”. He has been teaching Violin and Keyboard in Jacksonville for almost 20 years and has participated in many local programs here on Keyboard and Violin.

Divya Barath - Makeup

Guru. Smt Divya Barath, Founder of Nrityavahana dance school is a Bharatanatyam artist in Jacksonville Florida. Being trained by Kalaimamani Guru Smt.Jaysree Narayanan in Kalakshetra style, Divya is very keen in promoting this wonderful art form to the future generations. Divya has completed her Masters in Bharathanatyam and she is a ‘B’ grade artist in Doordarshan, India. Currently she is running Nrityavahana dance school and performing in several events along with her students in Jacksonville.
She strongly believes that Aharyam (Make-up) plays a very important role in a performance and she have done dance makeup to several performers in both India and Jacksonville
